1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using MyOwnVault ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
MyOwnVault is a Continuity Operating System that helps you organize and protect the people, documents, and knowledge others may need if you become unavailable. The Service allows you to create vaults, store information, define release conditions, and designate beneficiaries and approvers.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update such information as needed.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to store or distribute unlawful, harmful, or infringing content. You may not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
5. Your Data
You retain ownership of all data you store in your vaults. MyOwnVault acts as a custodian of your data and will not access, review, or share your vault contents except as required by law or as necessary to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Release Conditions
The Service provides tools for defining release conditions, including dead-man switches and approver-based release. You acknowledge that the enforcement of these conditions depends on the accurate configuration of approvers and check-in cadence. MyOwnVault is not liable for failure of release conditions due to misconfiguration or unavailable approvers.
7. Subscription & Storage
Your plan includes a defined set of features and storage capacity. Additional storage may be purchased through your account page. Plan features and pricing may change with reasonable notice. Existing subscriptions will be honored under the terms in effect at the time of purchase.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. MyOwnVault reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyOwnVault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Contact
